Forgive me if I am less than diplomatic here. I am not a fan at all of the radical environmental movement. I’m even less of a fan of radical, Big Government. Let’s cut to the chase here. The rabid environmentalists have destroyed the economy in the San Joaquin Valley of California. Not only have they destroyed the economy, they have destroyed the lives of tens of thousands of farmers, as well. According to the California Farm Water Coalition unemployment in parts of the San Joaquin Valley reached 41 percent in August. Over 400,000 acres of some of the richest farm land on earth are now dormant and unplanted. More than one million acres are in danger of destruction. . These government stooges have created a modern day dust bowl. They have created something the government actually worked hard to educate people against doing again some 75 years ago! Poor planting practices and a major drought caused much of the nation’s center to turn into one big dust bowl back in the 1930's. Nothing would grow. This stretched from the Plains of Texas to the Canadian Prairie Lands. Throw in the Great Depression and it was a disaster. People’s lives were destroyed. Farms that had been in families for generations just dried up and blew away, literally. Many family farms were lost to foreclosure. American families lost everything they had. One of the few things government got right was establishing the Soil Conservation Service, through the Soil Conservation Act of 1935. Studies were done, surveys made, and farmers were educated in best practices, so this would never happen again. We have had more than a few severe droughts since 1935, but we have never had a dust bowl environment since, until now. And this environmental disaster is completely man-made. Let me say that again. This is all man’s doing. Yes, there has been a bit of a drought in California. But there is more than enough water. This is not a natural disaster, you can’t blame God for this one. This is a man made disaster, you know, the name Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napoliotano wants us all to call domestic terrorism now! A lot of us were angry when Napolitano came out with that liberal nonsense, but now I see the wisdom in it. I very much agree with Former Fresno, California Mayor Alan Autry. What Big Government has done is indeed domestic terrorism. So what is this act of terrorism? What have the environmentalists done to destroy all of these Patriotic farmers lives? What has the federal government done to destroy the economy of the Central California Valley? The federal government, Big Government, has ordered all of the water shut off to the farms. But why would they do that? That’s insane, isn’t it? Well, yeah, but we are talking the most liberal government ever assembled in America! A government filled with radicals.

You see, there is this fish, the Delta Smelt. I’m sure it’s a fine fish. This two inch long refugee from the bait hook is actually kinda cute. We don’t hate the fish. But in it’s infinite wisdom, and treachery, the federal government, Big Government, has put this minnow on the endangered species list. That’s right, a little fish we’d use for BAIT down here in Texas is now being considered almost extinct.

Species become extinct all of the time, but for every one that goes away, more new heretofore never known species are discovered. You read about them all of the time, especially water species, like fish! This fish has no real value to the ecosystem. It’s not really food for any other fish or wildlife, and it doesn’t do anything to effect pollution, help keep the waters clean.

The problem with the Central Valley is the land is some of the best in the world for growing, but the water must be pumped in. The land must be irrigated. These tiny bait fish get drawn into the pumps and it’s all over for them. So, because of a two inch bait fish, America’s bread basket is empty! Almost every non-tropical fruit and vegetable you can name is grown in the San Joaquin Valley. Beautiful fruit and vegetables. In fact, much of the nation’s yearly food supply is grown right there!

All sorts of nuts are grown there, like almonds and pistachios. Most of the asparagus consumed in America comes from the California Valley’s rich soil. Grapes are a huge crop and this is the birthplace of the raisin!

The world’s single largest cotton farm, at over 40,000 acres, is also located here.

Cattle and sheep ranching, as well as dairy farming, are also vital to the economy of the Valley, and the nation’s food supply. They need water too.

These Californian’s feed the world from this wonderfully blessed land. Or at least they did. Now this land looks like the moonscape in places. It is literally turning into a desert with no water. Nothing is growing.

It is a man-made dust bowl. A man-made disaster. It is also a crime against humanity.

This is rabid environmental craziness, teamed up with Big Government liberalism, run amok! The very idea that the federal government has been allowed to gain the power to do this should serve as a warning that we need to stop and think. We need to take stock of our nation, our Republic. We need to go back to using our Constitution as a guide.

This is such a human tragedy. The very fact that Big Government can do this just goes against everything our founders stood for. In fact, we fought a Revolution, specifically, because the British were this controlling, this oppressive, this tyrannical.

Thankfully, today we don’t have to go to war. We just have to put pressure on the Obama regime and tell them to do what is right for the American people. We must put pressure on Lord Obama himself to do what is right. Sean Hannity has aired several reports on his show,  like this from Ainsley Earhardt:

As you can see, this once beautiful land is devastated, not by "global warming" or some other crackpot theory, but by man’s inhumanity to man. Man’s desire to dominate, to control, to oppress his fellow man. In fact, these are the same tyrants who preach global warming as reality.

The funny thing is, if global warming was actually real, planting crops would be a SOLUTION to it! The environmental crazies preach to us relentlessly that Co2, carbon dioxide, is bad, that it is the number one destructive element on earth. Of course, it isn’t. In fact, we release copious amounts of it when we all exhale!

But if one was actually to believe this fairy tale of global warming, one would know that plants actually absorb Co2! Plants need Co2 like we need oxygen, they can’t live without it. It was actually a stroke of genius on our creator’s part. He made man and plants compatible, symbiotic, with plants not only absorbing our exhalations but using them to create the essential oxygen we need for life.

So one has to ask, knowing all of this, why is Obama and Big Government destroying 400,000 acres of the very crops that would help absorb the Co2! That’s a question I can’t completely answer yet. I really don’t know what the entire motivation is. My guess is someone stands to make a lot of money out of this deal somehow. Or....

We know Obama has some certifiable loons in his Cabinet and employed as Czars. Obama’s recently confirmed Regulatory Czar Cass Sunstein, yes this one actually was confirmed by Obama’s democrat/communist Senate, believes that animals have rights, and should be able have a lawyer and sue people! You have John Holdren, Obama’s Science Adviser, who has advocated forced abortions and adding sterilents to the nation’s drinking water to control human population growth! That is as long as the sterilants didn’t harm animals.

And we all know about the insane ramblings of Obama’s recently departed Green Jobs Czar, Van Jones, a self avowed communist who has advocated overthrowing our constitutional government.

Even so, as insane as these typical Obama appointments are, one has to know something else, besides insanity is involved here. Something more sinister.

Has anyone caught on, that while Obama is trying to destroy the greatest health care in the world, and pass an economy killing cap and tax bill, a bill that would double or triple energy costs and cause the price of every single product and service we purchase to skyrocket, has anyone noticed that Obama is doing absolutely nothing to create real jobs, real wealth, real stability.

These are radical communists roaming the halls of the White House. By destroying the economy, not allowing us to use our natural energy resources like oil, natural gas, and coal. By destroying our nations’s ability to feed itself. By doing all of this, they are creating multiple crisises they can use to justify completely usurping our Constitution and as Barack Obama has said on many occasions "remake American society."

We are already broke, a debtor nation. We must rely on other nation’s economies to fund our government’s activities.

We are incredibly rich in natural resources. We have deposits of oil equal to the Middle East, natural gas deposits that equal the entire world’s oil supply, and over 250 years worth of coal! And yet, radical environmentalists, teamed up with the democrat/communist party, use the full force of Big Government to deny America of the ability to fuel the engines of freedom, democracy, and our economy.

Just like we are forced to depend on other nations for our money, we are forced to depend on other nations for our energy. And now, radical environmentalists, teamed up with the democrat/communist party are using the full force of Big Government to deny the nation the very food we need, all 300 million of us, for our very survival.

Let me recap, Big Government, the tool of the democrat/communist party, has made the United States of America, the greatest, strongest nation on earth, totally dependant on someone else for all of our money, most of our energy, and now much of our food! The last time we were in this predicament we were still a British colony!

To what end.......

All I know for sure is over 40,000 hard working Patriotic Americans, strong men and women who have literally helped feed America for their entire lives are now standing in lines at food banks eating canned goods from China!

These aren’t lazy welfare sponges, shiftless louts. These are the people who are the very heart and soul of America. The very fabric! These men and women have toiled in the hot sun working the earth to make sure all of us can eat.

Now they have no jobs, and no hope, all because some mindless drones have decided a fish is more important than the entire human race.

Or at least they are using it as an excuse!

This folks, is the danger of Big Government, and Barack Obama and his democrat/communist party are the absolute champions of Big Government. And if you put the pieces together, one starts to understand the end game here. On Thursday night Sean Hannity went to the San Joaquin Valley and interviewed a number of those whose lives are being destroyed by Barack Obama’s Big Government. Comedian Paul Rodriguez says, "We could feed the world with this valley!" "The only thing growing here is despair," Rodriguez says. "We grew more food with less water, and for our reward, you cut the water off!" Rodriguez, who supported candidate Barack Obama, asks this very poignant question: "What’s up with that?"



This makes me sick to my stomach. Big Government, teamed up with environmental extremists and the democrat/communist party, are destroying peoples lives in some mad thirst for power. This thirst to fundamentally "remake America" in the image of Karl Marx and Saul Alinsky! We are in the middle of the worst recession in 25 years, we have Barack Obama and his buddy Jeff Jones crafting a one trillion dollar stimulus bill to "create jobs." We have hard working Californians who are all but on their knees begging to work, but Lord Obama is denying them the human dignity of that work.

Regular readers know who Jeff Jones is. Jones, along with domestic terrorist and Barack Obama mentor William Ayers were the co-founders of the ultra-violent Weather Underground. They are life long Marxists, communists. When these two realized they couldn’t blow up enough stuff to destroy America and turn it into a Marxist state, they decided on a different path.

William Ayers has become a "respected educator." Ayers writes books and lectures would-be teachers on education, infecting young minds with radical Marxist ideology.

Jeff Jones chose the "green movement" as the way to institute a communist revolution. Jones is part of the Apollo Alliance, a group of radical environmentalists, whose goal is to "remake America" using the environment as an excuse.

Departed Green Jobs Czar, and self admitted communist revolutionary, Van Jones (no relation) is also a member of the Apollo Alliance.

Then you have Barack Obama, whose stated goal is to "remake America" and create a "green economy." As stated, Jones wrote much of the nearly $1 trillion stimulus package that Barack Obama was in such a hurry to have signed he convinced Congress to never even read it before passing it! And Obama started his political career in William Ayer’s living room, and set on the board of two "education foundations" where he, Obama, helped funnel tens of millions of dollars to ACORN.

What I am trying to say here, is the environment has absolutely nothing to do with what is happening to the American Patriots who are suffering greatly in the San Joaquin Valley of California. Fellow Americans who have fed our nation for generations.

This must not stand.

We cannot and will not be forced to depend on third world nations for our very survival.

We are continually having issues from imported food. Bacteria like salmonella run rampant throughout these third world imports. It is unconscionable that a nation that can feed the world, and has, is being forced to become no better than an undeveloped colony.

This is a matter of national security. We must have a secure, safe food supply.

Californians are suffering. Men and women who are simply asking for the human dignity of putting in a good day’s work for a good day’s pay are forced to stand in line, for hours on end, for food imported from China, just to survive. This is more than simply un-American, it is a crime against all humanity.

According to the Global Museum on Communism, close to 100 million people have been killed by communism worldwide. We will not let the brave men and women of the San Joaquin Valley become part of that statistic!

I urge every reader to contact Congress and demand they come to the aid of these outstanding Patriotic Americans, the very salt of the earth.

Do not take no for an answer, and do not take speaking to an underling for an answer. Demand to speak to your Congressman and Senators. Demand they make this right!

Barack Obama could turn the water back on with the stroke of his pen. Obama has written many Executive Orders since taking office that further his far leftist agenda. He must sign that Executive Order. He must sign it now!

Mr Obama.......TURN ON THIS WATER!

In a recent wide ranging Wall Street Journal interview with Texas Governor Rick Perry, in which Perry spoke of the need for solid fiscal conservatism in America, he talked about Alaska’s Governor Sarah Palin. Governor Perry slammed the "mushy, middle of the road" Republicans, what we here call squishes, and spoke of the need for solid conservative principles, like he and Sarah Palin possess, saying this:

"You may elect me if I am pro-life. You may elect me if I'm pro-family values. But you probably will not elect me if I'm not a proven fiscal conservative."

When it came to Sarah Palin, Governor Perry was very adamant about his admiration for the Arctic Fox:

"I love Sarah Palin, I love her positions, I think she was a good governor. . . . I want her to be engaged in this rebuilding of the Republican Party. . . . She is substantially more the face of this country than some other people who might want to be the face of the Republican Party. To me she's the face of America. I mean she's a hard worker, she didn't come from money, she didn't come from privilege, she just worked hard. . . . I have not seen another person who invigorated the Republican base [like she did] with the possible exception of Ronald Reagan in 1976—the speech he made at the Republican Convention. People were looking around and saying, 'we nominated the wrong dude.'"

Obviously, we agree with Governor Perry! Sarah Palin is the face of America. She is not part of the NYC/D.C. Beltway elite. Sarah is from a normal American family, with the all American story. She is a self made woman, no one gave her a thing. Sarah achieved everything she has set her sights on in office. Sarah has become a true force in American politics through her own hard work, and incredible skill. She has shown how much gravitas she brings to the national debate in the last few weeks doing no more than posting simple but effective commentary on her Facebook page. As you know, Rick Perry will be facing a re-election challenge in 2010 from D.C insider and retiring United States Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison. With Perry’s solid record of Reagan conservatism vs Hutchison’s record of squishy RINOism, and her D.C insider mentality, this shouldn’t be much of a contest. As a Texan, I can say absolutely that Rick Perry has been good for Texas! Sarah Palin has endorsed Governor Perry in his re-election bid. You can read the full Wall Street Journal interview here

Sarah Palin has just hit on the one issue Obama and his death cult do not want to discuss, and that is tort reform. Out of control lawsuits, sky high malpractice insurance, and doctors running more tests than needed, just to cover their tails, is all part of the single largest expense in American health care that can easily be remedied.

Tort reform is key. To "fix" healthcare, without major tort reform, would be like going in to do open heart surgery on someone, but not actually working on the heart!

We all know the stories of the trial lawyers who have gotten rich with bogus lawsuits. One of the most egregious practitioners of these phony baloney lawsuits is newly minted baby daddy John Edwards. Edwards became a multi-millionaire ambulance chaser by specializing in suing on behalf of children with cerebral palsy.

Edwards, a shyster deluxe, even went so far to "channel" unborn babies during his courtroom antics. Thanks to this one unscrupulous attorney, malpractice insurance went through the roof, many doctors quit their specialties, or went bankrupt.

But even worse, cases of cesarean birth dramatically increased, as Edwards used his greed, and junk science to convince people that natural childbirth was the culprit and cause of all of these cases of cerebral palsy.

Now besides the extra costs involved, having a cesarean birth is dangerous for the mother, as infections can easily set in, and of course, recovery is longer. But who cares, John Edwards sure has a nice house, doesn’t he!

This is just one guy who cost hospitals, doctors, and insurance companies hundreds of millions of dollars during his career. There are lawyers like him all over the country just waiting for their next payday.

Turn on the television. If you watch for any length of time, you will see dozens of ads from big law firms actively seeking defendants for all sorts of cases. Not saying all of them are bogus, but when you see people resorting to advertising nationally for victims, you have to wonder just how big the problem truly is or isn’t, and conclude it’s all about the Benjamins!

Of course, another issue people overlook in this, is the fact that lawyers are so busy chasing high profile, big paydays, that many cases that are real get shoved aside because they won’t make the attorney a huge payday. Small cases don’t add a new wing to the family compound!

As a Texan, I can say that tort reform works. Texas passed major tort reform years ago, capping damages one could get for "pain and suffering." They also beefed the medical boards to investigate doctors suspected of having issues.

The result? As Sarah points out, thousands of doctors have moved to Texas. This has had a huge impact, especially in rural areas. Where there were once shortages of doctors, now there is coverage.

I live in a hospital town, we are home to a hospital that started out in a log cabin, which is still on the grounds, that has grown into a regional system of hospitals and clinics, and even has it’s own health care insurance plan.

Seeing a doctor here is an easy, very friendly process. Even though the complex is huge, the effort is to make sure every patient has their own regular doctor who is able to meet their needs. Very user friendly.

It is also a teaching hospital and is part of the Texas A&M system.

This is what happens when government is responsible, then gets out of the way.

I agree with Sarah Palin 100% on tort reform. For Barack Obama and the rest of his communist party to talk about "health care reform" without tort reform is beyond ridiculous, and it borders on criminal.

Of course, we all know that actually "reforming" health care is the last thing on these people’s minds. This is all a big power grab, and an attempt to completely usurp the Constitution of the United States. Anyone who has actually read HR 3200 knows that monstrosity is nothing more than a gateway to a complete communist state. It is a liberty and freedom stealing document that needs to be burned!

Lets get serious and get behind Sarah Palin. No tort reform, no health care bill.

No Health Care Reform Without Legal Reform:

President Obama's health care "reform" plan has met with significant criticism across the country. Many Americans want change and reform in our current health care system. We recognize that while we have the greatest medical care in the world, there are major problems that we must face, especially in terms of reining in costs and allowing care to be affordable for all. However, as we have seen, current plans being pushed by the Democratic leadership represent change that may not be what we had in mind -- change which poses serious ethical concerns over the government having control over our families’ health care decisions. In addition, the current plans greatly increase costs of health care, while doing lip service toward controlling costs.

We need to address a REAL bipartisan reform proposition that will have REAL impacts on costs, and quality of patient care.

As Governor of Alaska, I learned a little bit about being a target for frivolous suits and complaints (Please, do I really need to footnote that?). I went my whole life without needing a lawyer on speed-dial, but all that changes when you become a target for opportunists and people with no scruples. Our nation’s health care providers have been the targets of similar opportunists for years, and they too have found themselves subjected to false, frivolous, and baseless claims. To quote a former president, "I feel your pain."

So what can we do? First, we cannot have health care reform without tort reform. The two are intertwined. For example, one supposed justification for socialized medicine is the high cost of health care. As Dr. Scott Gottlieb recently noted, "If Mr. Obama is serious about lowering costs, he'll need to reform the economic structures in medicine—especially programs like Medicare." [1] Two examples of these "economic structures" are high malpractice insurance premiums foisted on physicians (and ultimately passed on to consumers as "high health care costs") and the billions wasted on defensive medicine.

Dr. Stuart Weinstein, with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, recently explained the problem:

"The medical liability crisis has had many unintended consequences, most notably a decrease in access to care in a growing number of states and an increase in healthcare costs.

Access is affected as physicians move their practices to states with lower liability rates and change their practice patterns to reduce or eliminate high-risk services. When one considers that half of all neurosurgeons—as well as one third of all orthopedic surgeons, one third of all emergency physicians, and one third of all trauma surgeons—are sued each year, is it any wonder that 70 percent of emergency departments are at risk because they lack available on-call specialist coverage?" [2]

Dr. Weinstein makes good points, points completely ignored by President Obama. Dr. Weinstein details the costs that our out-of-control tort system are causing the health care industry and notes research that "found that liability reforms could reduce defensive medicine practices, leading to a 5 percent to 9 percent reduction in medical expenditures without any effect on mortality or medical complications." Dr. Weinstein writes:

"If the Kessler and McClellan estimates were applied to total U.S. healthcare spending in 2005, the defensive medicine costs would total between $100 billion and $178 billion per year. Add to this the cost of defending malpractice cases, paying compensation, and covering additional administrative costs (a total of $29.4 billion). Thus, the average American family pays an additional $1,700 to $2,000 per year in healthcare costs simply to cover the costs of defensive medicine.

Excessive litigation and waste in the nation’s current tort system imposes an estimated yearly tort tax of $9,827 for a family of four and increases healthcare spending in the United States by $124 billion. How does this translate to individuals? The average obstetrician-gynecologist (OB-GYN) delivers 100 babies per year. If that OB-GYN must pay a medical liability premium of $200,000 each year (which is the rate in Florida), $2,000 of the delivery cost for each baby goes to pay the cost of the medical liability premium." [3]

You would think that any effort to reform our health care system would include tort reform, especially if the stated purpose for Obama’s plan to nationalize our health care industry is the current high costs.

So I have new questions for the president: Why no legal reform? Why continue to encourage defensive medicine that wastes billions of dollars and does nothing for the patients? Do you want healthcare reform to benefit trial attorneys or patients?

Many states, including my own state of Alaska, have enacted caps on lawsuit awards against health care providers. Texas enacted caps and found that one county’s medical malpractice claims dropped 41 percent, and another study found a "55 percent decline" after reform measures were passed. [4] That’s one step in health care reform. Limiting lawyer contingency fees, as is done under the Federal Tort Claims Act, is another step.

The State of Alaska pioneered the "loser pays" rule in the United States, which deters frivolous civil law suits by making the loser partially pay the winner’s legal bills. Preventing quack doctors from giving "expert" testimony in court against real doctors is another reform.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry noted that, after his state enacted tort reform measures, the number of doctors applying to practice medicine in Texas "skyrocketed by 57 percent" and that the tort reforms "brought critical specialties to underserved areas." These are real reforms that actually improve access to health care. [5]

Dr. Weinstein’s research shows that around $200 billion per year could be saved with legal reform. That’s real savings. That’s money that could be used to build roads, schools, or hospitals.

If you want to save health care, let’s listen to our doctors too. There should be no health care reform without legal reform. There can be no true health care reform without legal reform.

Sarah Palin recently used LOTUS to completely set the health care debate on it’s ear!

As we talked about here, here, and here, Sarah and used her straight shooting style to put Barack Obama on the complete defensive over his incredibly sinister plan to destroy the American health care system and have the government take control of a huge segment of our economy.

As Ronald Reagan spoke of way back in 1961, socializing the health care in a nation is the first step to becoming a full on communist state. We know Barack Obama was born and raised a Saul Alinsky style communist, someone who thinks America is an evil country and must be changed. So trying to destroy the American health care system with a communist plan of "socialized medicine" is just par for the course for this guy.

As Sarah Palin has already said, Obamacare is pure evil!

Obamacare must be stopped.

Thankfully, armed with her powerful Laptop of the United States, Sarah Palin will keep a close watch on Barack Obama and continue to call him out every time he tries to destroy the greatest nation the world has ever know with one of his insane schemes!

Her latest effort was to employ LOTUS to talk about Obama’s plan to send billions of taxpayer dollars to Brazil so they can drill for oil offshore. Of course, Obama, his Chicago thugs, and the eviro-nuts, go insane if you talk about drilling for oil in our country.

As we  saw this week, the death of conservatism in America has been greatly exaggerated!  

What America witnessed this week was a true American statesman at work. Actually, two great statesmen. The second being a woman, and daughter of the first.

This week, former Vice President Dick Cheney took on the President of the United States, Barack Obama, in a serious national security debate. And Mr Cheney made Mr Obama look small, and petty.

To fully grasp how Mr Cheney has changed the debate in America, one has to realize that his speech, which had been scheduled for some time, had the Obama team so flustered, they had to rush like a bunch of grade schoolers to try and preempt Mr Cheney!

Real rookie stuff!

By doing this, Mr Obama instantly made what Mr Cheney was doing just that much more important.

And the Obama team did it up right. They marched the President down to the National Archives, in front a copy of the Constitution, for goodness sakes! That back drop reminded me of the ridiculousness back in 2000, when Al Gore was trying to steal the Florida election, and every time he came out, he had more and more US flags staged around him, making sure he always had a greater number than George Bush did, when he spoke! Well, the echoing sounds of the National Archives aside, Mr Obama just looked small.

As always, Mr Obama can say absolutely nothing, better than any man alive, but, that’s exactly what he did say, absolutely nothing. Oh, he did his usual hand wringing and of course blamed everything on President Bush and others, something he pathologically does on a daily basis, But he said nothing else.

What Mr Obama, and the rest of the misguided left don’t seem to understand, is the “problem” with Guantanamo Bay, is all their fault! There is no sane reason on earth to close it, but, this rookie president, on his second day in office, stepped right in it, with both feet!

The far left in this country pretty much hates America, and everything about her. They perceive America as a bad place. A place that should be punished for her ills. The left, including President Obama see a moral equivalency between blood thirsty savages, who murder innocents at the drop of a hat, and American service men and women. In fact, the Obama cabal sees a moral equivalency between the terrorists, and average Americans.

Fast forward a few minutes, and Americans were treated to a speech given by an adult. A sober, calm, adult. No grandiose setting, no campaign style rhetoric. Just a good meat and potatoes speech that laid out Mr Cheney’s case, in terms that any red blooded American could understand, and appreciate.

Mr Cheney hit a home run. He won the debate, and totally knocked President Obama off the mound. Even the dishonest U.S. media couldn’t spin this one in Mr Obama’s favor!

But, Dick Cheney’s speech was just part of the excitement!

The most fun I’ve had in weeks, on the political observation front, was watching Liz Cheney, the former Vice President’s daughter.

Oh wow!

Liz Cheney has her fathers strength, her father’s guts, and her mother’s grace.  Liz Cheney is a warrior!

Now, of course, she made the obligatory appearances on Fox News, where of course she was treated with respect. Not a hard job. But where Liz shined was by doing what she does best. She went into the belly of the beast, the most dishonest news group in America, NBC.

For those that haven’t figured it out, NBC, and MSNBC, are owned by General Electric, and GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt is one of Barack Obama’s advisors. This of course, makes NBC/MSNBC wholly subservient to President Obama, and the DNC.

So, it was great fun to watch Liz Cheney put on a clinic on how to take apart left wing talkers. I mean she was incredible. No matter what sort of insane, out in left field talking point these left wingers threw at her, she just did her own deal. She was tough, smart, and best of all, when they said something stupid, which was quite often, Liz simply refused to accept the premise of their question!

It was brilliant!

I’ve written before that one of the biggest problems with today’s Republicans, is they accept the democrat’s ideas, and then try to bring the “Republican way” to the table when they discuss them. The only way to describe this is sheer stupidity.

From total stupidity, like so called “global warming” and all of the schemes the liberals bring to the table surrounding that nonsense, to their attempts to destroy the best health care on earth, to their childishness on foreign affairs, Republicans could really learn something from Liz Cheney!

When liberals are saying dumb things, simply refuse to play!

Global warming? Simply use your brain, and explain to them what normal people already know: It’s a hoax, a hoax designed to make a lot of people, like Al Gore and General Electric, a lot of money.

The same tactics can be used when discussing health care, real energy exploration, illegal immigration, and so on.


The thing America saw this past week though, that really excites me, is this: America saw real leadership!

Dick Cheney and Liz Cheney are leaders, in every sense of the word.

The former Vice President, who is now a private citizen, saw a grave injustice being perpetrated on the American people, and as leaders do, stood up, and took the problem head on.

Even more exciting, Liz Cheney also took up the fight, and showed the world how it is done!

To paraphrase the great Ronald Reagan, it’s not that are moderate friends are ignorant, it’s just they know so much that isn’t so!

Folks that know me, know I have little use for moderates. I have even less use for the moderate “republicans”. I have written extensively about the damage the moderates have done to the party. I have written extensively about how moderates are incapable of winning national elections.

And yet, the Republican party is so bound and determined to commit suicide by moderate.

Of course, a lot of this is because moderates crave attention, and “love” from the media. And the media is more than happy to feed their egos. Your average democrat may not be all that bright, but the leaders of the party understand that a moderate is quite easy to beat. It’s why they were all John  McCain’s best buddy, until he ran for President, that is!  

Now we have the dishonest media trotting out people like Colon Powell, who endorsed, and voted for, Barack Obama, as well as people like Meghan McCain, who also generally votes democrat. The media is telling America that we must listen to democrats to tell us what the Republican party should be! It would be laugh out loud funny, if it weren’t for the fact that many in our party actually believe this nonsense.

Dick Cheney and Liz Cheney, in one short week, have shown the rest of the Republican party what leadership is all about. Leadership is not becoming moderate, or “democrat lite”. True leadership is about being bold. True leadership is about actually believing in something, and willing to risk everything to see it through!

We have few members of our party who are willing to take the heat by standing up for something. For being a leader. Of course, for those who do, the rewards are there!

Who are some of the most respected people in the Republican party? Here’s a clue, they are all conservatives!

Dick Cheney has seen his personal approval numbers rise greatly by speaking up. Liz Cheney has been praised far and wide.

Then there is Governor Sarah Palin. Governor Palin never, ever backs down from a fight. Frankly, with the sort of dishonest harassment the democrat party, and the left wing crazies have put Governor Palin through, no one would blame her if she laid low. But leaders don’t do that. True leaders, who believe in themselves, and their cause, cannot, and will not be stopped!

No matter what they throw at Sarah Palin, she just slaps it away, like King Kong swatting airplanes from atop the Empire State Building!  

Note to the GOP: This is what leadership looks like!

The Grand Old Party needs to wake up, and understand that the people of America want a leader!

Currently, America is leaderless.  We have a prepackaged, store bought image, in the White House. We have a relative child running the country. Mr Obama has never run a city, never run a state, and never even run a lemonade stand before now. He’s never had a private sector job. He’s never had to make payroll. He’s never had to balance a budget.

Of course, all of this shows in the direction America is heading.

The majority of Americans are fed up with all politicians. They are fed up with President Obama, and even more fed up with Congress, and they are totally fed up with both political parties, because there are no real leaders.

For the first time in history, most people self identify as independents! The dishonest news loves to say that the number of self proclaimed Republicans is way down, but what they leave out, is the fact the democrat party is losing members twice as fast!

This is the time for the Republican party to go back to it’s conservative roots. This is a time for the Republican party to step back into it’s leadership role!

But you won’t do it with the milquetoast, country club blue blood, democrat lite, moderates!

These are times that call for bold leadership. As Ronald Reagan would say, we need bright colors, no pale pastels!  We need big ideas! Ideas that will put America back on top where she belongs.

We need a real economic plan that won’t destroy America forever, like Mr Obama’s plan.

We need to reduce the size of government, all government. Not create a socialist dreamland that Mr Obama and his minions are moving toward. In fact, there are many, many programs the federal government was never intended to be involved in. The number of out of control government agencies created in just my lifetime are staggering.

So, we need small government. We need to return the powers back to the states, as prescribed in the Constitution.

We need a real energy policy, one based on actually creating more energy, not some pie in the sky, scheme designed to make the dishonest warmongers money, and bankrupt the common man!

We have more oil and natural gas than we can use in several generations. We have more coal than the Middle East has oil. And we have completely forgotten about an incredibly efficient energy source, nuclear.

We need a real plan to save Social Security and Medicare.

We need a plan to make our health care, the best health care on earth, more affordable. One based on free market principles and tort reform.

We need a sane policy to stop illegal immigration. One that finally closes our borders, enforces the laws already on our books, and restores the rule of law.


All in all, this will take bold, solid leadership. This week two such leaders showed you the way!

If the GOP wants to survive, we need more leaders like Dick and Liz Cheney, and Governor Sarah Palin. Anything less, and we will remain a minority party forever!

It is a time for choosing.

So I’m reading the 9,324th story on the absolutely ridiculous “ethics complaint”against Sarah Palin, filed by operatives of the DNC, namely Sondra Tomkins, who is aided by Shannyn Moore, Jeanne Devon, and Linda Biegel.

Standard boilerplate left wing lunacy. This time written by so-called “professor” Amanda Coyne, who runs the Alaska Dispatch, a small internet newser, that’s main purpose seems to be printing attacks against the Governor.

Nothing surprising there, as Coyne has turned her hate into a cottage industry. Between her unbalanced and unhinged hate for Palin, she also spends time attacking Palin’s supporters, and filling the pages of the left wing Huffington Post with her rants.

Thinking about Coyne, made me think of her husband, and his ties with the Anchorage Daily News, which itself has turned into nothing more than a house organ for the Obama administration.

The ADN, as it is known, goes out of it’s way to print smears about the Governor, and any other Republican. They go so far as to help the aforementioned Moore, Devon, and Biegel coordinate well placed comments, from out of state bloggers, posing as angry Alaskans in their comment sections, trying to create a false sense of anger at Palin. The ADN even recycles stories, under new headlines, just to make sure all of the out of state bloggers, and newspaper columnists, get enough space to rant.

Now of course, thinking about the ADN, got me thinking about it’s parent company, McClatchy.

McClatchy is a very left wing outfit, that publishes 30 newspapers all across the country. They have always been a liberal bunch, most big newspapers seem to be. But during the last election cycle McClatchy moved hard to the left, and started shilling for the hard left’s causes. And Barack Obama.

A year or so ago, McClatchy stock was worth a little over $12 a share. Friday the stock closed at 53 cents a share, and Moody’s downgraded their credit rating, calling their $2.2 billion debt, “unsustainable”.

Now of course, McCaltchy is not alone. Many of the nation’s largest newspapers are in deep trouble. And they all have one thing in common. They have all become shills for the left, in a big way.

You know man has sacrificed himself for what he felt was a greater cause since the beginning of time. Even for noble causes. The old greater good.

Now of course, we are more familiar with suicide warriors like the Japanese Kamikaze pilots, and the Germans who became the human guidance systems of missiles at the end of WWII.

Nowadays, we think of Muslim extremists who strap bombs on themselves, and walk into a crowd of civilians, or military, and blow themselves up.

All three of these groups have one thing in common. They were/are in the throws of defeat, and this was/is a last ditch attempt to win.

Now I know some folks will say the reason these newspapers are dead and just too dumb to lay down, is because of the economy, or (gasp) the internet.

Now that would be a good argument, except for some stubborn facts. One, there are plenty of good newspapers across the country, newspapers that print straight news, you know: Facts. These papers are still making money. And, they have been able to keep advertisers, as well as create an online presence.

But this problem isn’t just with newspapers.

One of the well know bottomless money pits in left wing broadcasting is Air America. 10's of millions of dollars have been flushed down that toilet. And it is a complete failure. It’s basically NPR, except funded by rich liberals. On second thought, it is exactly like NPR!

But AM talk radio isn’t a dying breed, internet, or not. In fact, there are many talk show hosts that do quite well, and have used their talk shows to move into TV gigs, book writing, and so on.

Any radio station that carries Rush, Hannity, Levin, Beck, or Ingraham, pretty much has it made.

So, as we see, even in a poor economy, it’s possible for radio to make money.     

Well, then what about TV?

Now we have come to realize that NBC and MSNBC have an agenda. The Chairman of their parent company, Jeffrey Immelt, is a member of Barack Obama’s advisory group, and General Electric, the parent company, stands to make billions of dollars if they can get Obama and Congress to push through all sorts of, so called, green legislation. GE makes a lot of the implements of the green movement. Machines that, unless mandated, have limited value or desirability.

So one can understand why NBC and MSNBC are now part of White House Press Secretary, Robert Gibb’s, staff.

Immelt appears to have instigated a plan to take the once respectable NBC, and it’s sister networks and turn them into propaganda tools of the left. And for his trouble, he has all but destroyed the value of General Electric with it’s stock down 62 percent since last year.

But again, at least one can see an end game. It’s not very ethical, of course, and has the ability to destroy democracy, but at least we know about it, and can understand that it’s just good old fashioned greed, thrown in with the almost cartoonish left wing loonacy from the anchors and guests on the two main networks!

Never mind the week long assault of “green” on all of the NBC/Universal networks pushing the global warming hoax.

But what is CBS and ABC’s excuse? Both networks are losing viewers, with CBS being in last place for a long time. And yet, with few exceptions, these networks tow the democrat party line. Much of the time skewing hard left.

And how about CNN? CNN started the 24 hour news craze. They were the only game in town for some time. Now they always tilted to the left, but since Barack Obama became the nominee, and now the President, they took a hard left turn.

And how have they been rewarded? They are now number 4 out of 4 major cable news networks. Their own sister network, Headline News, which basically has headlines running on a loop all day, beats them!

During the recent coverage of the April 15th tea party protests, both Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, of Comedy Central, who do fake news and satire, had more viewers than any of the prime time CNN shows!

But cable news isn’t bad business. Fox News, which at least attempts to play it straight, and clearly tells you the difference between their hard news offerings, and their night time opinion shows, has more viewers than the other three networks, combined.

Now even a simple minded guy like me can look at the facts and figure out that the paying customer isn’t all that excited about a steady diet of left wing rants, like one finds on the various radio station or TV channels, or reads in the newspapers mentioned above.

In fact, it’s pretty easy to understand why all of these media outlets are either going broke, or causing a significant financial drain on their parent companies.

The question is why?

Why are these media outlets doing this?

Now, during WWII, the Japanese and Germans were desperate. They had almost no hope in winning a conventional war. So many brave men were persuaded to sacrifice themselves for the cause.

We see the same thing today, with the Muslim extremists. They have very little in real technology, and weaponry.  They honestly have no hope of ever winning a conflict against any well trained army, and yet, out of desperation, they use their own lives, sacrificing them to inflict death and terror upon the world.  Hoping to win some kind of victory.

Now I ask, isn’t the left wing media, the so called mainstream media, doing basically the same thing? I mean they have sacrificed profits, the lifeblood of any business.

The investors, some willingly, and some not, have sacrificed their personal wealth to keep these left wing outlets going.

Years after it made a lick of sense.

So, could it be that the left is really that desperate?

I mean they all are crowing like they won some big victory in November. But did they?

With protests in the streets, and Barack Obama’s falling poll numbers, it’s obvious that whatever they did in November, the gains are quickly being lost.

Now this left turn didn’t happen yesterday, but the media has went all in since November.  

So you tell me, is this continual abandonment of all sane business practices, in order to spread left wing propaganda and lies, the last attempt of desperate liberals?

A sacrifice for the cause?

Or just plain insanity!

Well, it looks like Alaskans Linda Biegel (Celtic Diva) And Jeanne Devon (AKMuckraker) who run the hate blogs “Celtic Diva’s Blue Oasis” and “Mudflats”, respectively, have found a new pawn.

Meet Sondra Tompkins from Anchorage, Alaska..

Now, if you do a quick Google search, you’ll see Tompkins continually described as a “reliably Republican voter”. And a “child disability advocate and mother of a special needs child.”  

Seems nice enough. But as we all know, “reliable Republican”, when written in a newspaper, means they are a democrat, have voted mostly democrat, and contributed money to the democrat party.   

You’ll also find Tompkins shows up at rallies and protests, such as one held last year where she was quoted as saying this, by a website called “Palin Truth Squad”:

Sondra Tompkins, a reliably Republican voter, found herself speaking out at the rally - upset, she said, because of Palin’s handling of the trooper issue and the example it sets for children in the state.

“They’re listening, they’re watching, and they’re asking questions,” Tompkins called out to the crowd. “Do we tell them it’s OK not to tell the truth? Do we tell them it’s OK to bend the truth? Do we tell them it’s OK to distort the truth if you have a gaggle of lawyers to defend you?
“It’s not OK, and I think Alaskans have had enough.”

Of course, we all know that “troopergate” was a put up deal that was helped along by Barack Obama, his then Chief of Staff, and current senior White House advisor, Pete Rouse, along with Alaskan democrats Kim Elton, Hollis French, Beth Kerttula, and Steven Branchflower.  Nothing more than a witch hunt, that saw Kim Elton being  paid off by Obama with a make work job.

Anyhow, why do we care about Sondra Tompkins?

Well, it seems that our good friends Biegel and Devon have recruited Tompkins into their little world of hate and depravity.

Now Linda Beigle has filed a number of “ethics complaints” against Governor Palin. All of them are bogus, and have been dismissed. But The Governor still has to keep an attorney on retainer. This kinda deal is why she has a half a million dollars in legal bills!

Well, now I don’t know if Alaska has a limit on how many frivolous suits one person can file, or if all the heat on Biegle made her nervous, but she decided to rope Tompkins into the ranks of the loons. Today, as reported by the other crazy up there, Jeanne Devon, and gleefully picked up by the Huffington Post, Tompkins filed a complaint against Governor Palin for “ethics violations”.

Spring is springing here on the Last Frontier, and with it pops up a brand new ethics complaint against the governor. For those of you keeping score at home, that makes twelve ethics complaints in all. That number, of course, includes the one Palin filed against herself last fall so the Troopergate investigation could be overseen by the governor-appointed personnel board, instead of leaving it solely to those rogue, mavericky legislators in Juneau.
The complaint will be filed this afternoon asserting that Palin's involvement with SarahPAC constitutes "outside employment" and "misuse of official position."
Anchorage resident Sondra Tompkins, child disability advocate and mother of a special needs child, is filing the complaint after observing Governor Palin repeatedly display "a pattern of unethical behavior." Sondra believes that the tipping point for her was Sarah Palin's most recent abdication of her role as Governor and apparent conflict-of-interest when she spoke at two outside events in Indiana rather than work with the Alaska Legislature during the most critical time, the end of the session.
The complaint alleges:
a) Governor Palin has entered into a contract outside of her official duties with the donors, employees, partners and any or all other participants involved in SarahPAC.
b) The recent partisan trip to Indiana by the Governor was purely to benefit personal interests, had no benefit for the State of Alaska and was in direct conflict with her official duties.
c) The Governor left the State to participate in these events during the most critical end-of-session Legislative activities, at a time where the legislators themselves are not permitted to leave
Tompkins is also one of the growing number of disgruntled Republican voters who find themselves disillusioned with the current administration.

Now this is the kinda silliness Governor Palin has to put up with on a daily basis from these loons.

The democrat controlled Alaska legislature took off right in the middle of their overpowering 90 day session to go on vacation. This is a bunch that had 440 separate pieces of legislation to consider, and passed 61. Nothing was said.

But nonsense aside, why in the world should the Governor of a state have to put up with this petty stupidity?

I know these loons have an agenda, but having watched Governor Palin’s Indiana speech, I can tell you, she was doing what Governors do,. selling her state! The whole first part of her speech was about how great Alaska is. A walking, talking advertisement for the Chamber of Commerce!

The rest of course, was a very personal speech talking about her new son, Trig, and the blessings of life.  

You know what gets me, and continually gets me though?  

And this has started to be a “thing” among the Beltway elite.

A.B Stoddard, and some woman I have never heard of, were guests on Bill O’Reilly’s show last week. The latest phony complaint by the RINO wing of the party is Governor Palin hasn’t done anything to help her fellow Republicans.  

Yes, she passed on both the House retreat, as well as the big fund raiser.

But look at how the Governor has been attacked for going to a charity dinner, and breakfast, championing personal convictions of hers! Can you imagine what would have happened had she went to raise money for the GOP?

But, really, why should she?  

I mean seriously, why should Sarah Palin help the Republican party out at all?

The Republican party has never had the Governor’s back. Not once.

I mean from the deal with Jeff Larson (the one who bought all of those clothes) and the way that was handled, to the incompetents in the campaign who tried to blame Palin for blowing it, the Republican party was more of a problem, than a solution.

And then there is “troopergate”! CNN reported that Barack Obama reached out to the troopers union almost as soon as Palin was announced.

Obama’s Chief of Staff, Pete Rouse, who worked with Kim Elton in Juneau in the 1970's, was driving the bus on this.

Now this is serious stuff, where was the GOP?

I mean this was their vice presidential candidate!

Obama, and his Alaskan friends were able to craft a very powerful October Surprise, 4 days before the election, when the soon  discredited Branchflower Report came out.

But nothing from the GOP.

Not a word.

And we all know that Governor Palin has had a non-stop assault on her by both the left wing loons and the RINOs in the Republican party since the day the election was over with.

And I do mean non-stop!

So what is my point?  

My point is the Republican party needs to learn how to protect it’s own.

The Republican party is whining because the Governor hasn’t brought her star power to help them, but she hasn’t received even the slightest back up from Republicans.

Not one ounce of effort from the party.

We all know that if Sarah Palin was a democrat, and this kind of nonsense was going on, the democrats would declare WWIII on the Republicans!

So you know what, I think it’s time we declare our own little war on the Republican party!

If the Republican party is not going to help defend Governor Palin, or other conservative leaders, then I say we stop funding the Republican party!

That’s right, if they would rather spend time and money shoring up RINOs like Arlen Specter, someone who usually votes with the democrats, than defend one of it’s conservative superstars, and a strict constitutionalist, then to heck with them.

Conservatives need to stand up on two levels.

One, they need to stand up to these loons in Alaska, and make sure this sort of thing stops. Get involved, anyway you can, to counteract these people’s efforts to destroy Sarah Palin. There are any number of ways to do that.

And two, send a strong message to the Republican party that you are tired of them shilling for democrat lite candidates, while allowing good solid conservatives to twist in the wind.

I know that I, for one, will not be sending another penny to any Republican cause until they get their priorities straight!

Conservatives unite, it is time to take the party back!

A friend sent me this transcript of a speech given at one of the 100's of tea parties on April 15th. The location and the speaker are not important, but the words are inspiring, and quite eloquent. This tea party movement has shown that America is still filled with patriots the love our nation, and will go to any length to save it from sure disaster. This speaker is one of them.

The newly elected, and duly inaugurated “leader of the free world”, the 44th President of the United States, has gone to Europe, and told the citizens of France, witnessed by all with the technology to hear it, that the nation he was elected to lead, the Commander in Chief of whose military he pledged to be, whose Constitution he pledged to protect and defend from all aggressors, foreign or domestic, and swore these words with the traditional “So Help Me God” believes our country, these United States of America to be arrogant.

To the citizens of France I ask, do we appear arrogant when we visit the graves, on French soil, of the heroic American soldiers that came ashore and lost their lives as these United States delivered to you from unspeakable oppression on June 6th, 1944.                                                                                                   

Are we arrogant then, Mr President?  

When our veterans from the liberation of Iraq, and the continuing war against terror come home to friends and families with wounds that will never heal, and we insist our tax dollars go to care for them tenderly, physically and emotionally as the heroes they are, is that arrogant or devoutly patriotic to those that have displayed devoted patriotism?

Our properly elected and duly inaugurated leader, the President of the United States, on the trip he recently returned from, bowed to Saudi King Abdulla. I believe that as Americans, we have earned a right to stand straight and tall, and bow to no one.

Perhaps, it’s that opinion that makes me appear arrogant.

I believe those like me in our Christian-based nation believe there is a throne before which we’ll all ultimately bow, but on that throne will reside the King of all Creation, and not a mortal man.    Does it make me appear arrogant to believe that is true?

I believe that free men and women have the right to retain the fruits of their labor, gathered by the sweat of their brow, and either save those fruits to be distributed where obligated, to enjoy the luxuries they desire, with the remaining profits willed to their heirs, or as our individual conscience dictates, donated to those that have not been so fortunate.

I believe the American Dream is NOT a right but an opportunity every American has been presented , the freedom and independence to pursue by the blood and selfless sacrifice of those dedicated American patriots that came before us.

Does THAT make me appear arrogant?

I believe those that have contributed little or nothing to our American frontier, but have depended on welfare from my government to survive, whose parents and grandparents have depended on welfare, and whose children and grandchildren without some mass awakening and redirection will depend on welfare and government assistance for the very bread on their table, do not have a right to an equal share of American bounty.   

No moral American would see them starve, because we are a kind and loving, Christian-based nation, but redistribution and the government imposed portion that our President, our congress, and our senate propose to be taken away from hard-working, visionary patriotic Americans, simply isn’t fair, and removes incentive from working Americans striving to better the future for themselves and their family.

Am I arrogant because I believe that?

I believe that charity is a moral obligation that cannot be legislated and that my Christian soul will guide me and my family to give what we personally feel is a charitable and Christian portion of our personal, legally gathered holdings, because I believe we will some day be individually evaluated by the supreme and impartial judge of us all.

Certainly taxes to support the security, defense and infrastructure of these United States needs to be an obligation we all share because we love America, we love our families, and we insist on planning for the future of our children, and their children’s children, and leaving in our wake an America at least as strong and self-sufficient as the America we inherited.            

 I believe that this has been, still is, and will die to insure it always remains the greatest of all nations on the face of the Earth.

Does that make me appear arrogant?

If it does, then so be it.  An arrogant American, I am and will always be.

In my last entry I pointed out it is a time for choosing. A time for the Republican party to figure itself out. Does the Republican party want to remain the minority party for the rest of it’s existence, floating both toward moderatism and mediocrity, or does it want to become the political powerhouse it once was?

Does the Republican party want to again be the party that stands side by side with the American people on every issue, or does it want to continue it’s headlong rush into being nothing more than “democrat lite”? 

Here’s a big hint for you: When the voter is only given the choice between an imitation, (or “democrat lite”) and the real thing, even when it makes no sense whatsoever, they will vote for the genuine article! And the 2008 presidential campaign as run by John McCain is a textbook case. A shining example. A strong testimony, if you will, of this fact.

On every major issue that was on the voter’s mind in 2008, McCain was simpatico with Obama.

But, we have beat that dead horse to a pulp. Let’s just leave it at this: RINOs, the country club, blue blooders, the “moderates”, simply have no place in power, in the Republican party. They’re always on the wrong side of history, and have been for at least the last 50 years.

So, what can we do?

It’s easy to just stand here and shout: “Be like Ronald Reagan!”

But that’s not enough.

The United States is in peril. Our very way of life is being ripped apart. The people who occupy the majority in Congress, and sit in the White House have planned for this for decades. They waited until, for the first time in history, they could have an unstoppable majority. Now that they do, everything that has been on their wish list for the last half century is being brought out, and imposed on the public. All of it out of the communist handbook.

And yes, these people are communists. As soon as the Republican party leaders figure this deal out, and quit trying to be collegial with them, the better. The democrat party means to destroy you! They mean to destroy all of us. Wake up, smell the coffee, and get serious. The barbarians have breached the gate. The fox is already in the hen house.

It is a time for choosing!

Now, one should never bring up tons of problems, without at least attempting to offer some solutions. So, let me attempt to offer some serious solutions, as well as some tactical advice.


Learn how to defend yourself and other Republicans!

This is key.

In my lifetime, I have never seen the outright hatred thrown at a candidate that I have Governor Sarah Palin, of Alaska. Governor Palin was chosen to be our 2008 Vice Presidential candidate. She is a sharp, highly competent woman, with a long and distinguished career in government.

The second Governor Palin was announced, the long knives came out from the democrats. The amount of lies that were told about her were simply unfathomable. And yet, no lie was too outrageous to be told by the media: Over, and over, and over.

Of course, complete malpractice by the McCain campaign, and the moderates there, didn’t help anyone’s cause.

Even better, instead of circling the wagons, and going to her defense with the intensity of the allies taking Normandy, all of the moderates, the Peggy Noonans and the Kathleen Parkers of the world actually piled on, shortly followed by members of the McCain campaign! Of course, owing to the fact they might possibly be the most incompetent campaign team ever, it’s obvious they needed to blame someone!

Let me tell you something, and you need to understand this completely. If Sarah Palin was a democrat, and Republicans had tried to smear her with the amount of hate, lies, and innuendo that was thrown her way, and continues to be thrown her way, they would have started WWIII!

You see, democrats are not like Republicans. Republicans want to win elections, or at least they say they do. But, they also want to be liked. They want it to be said that they “played nice”. Well, how is that working out for you so far?

Here’s how the democrats work. They don’t want to just win elections. They want to destroy all opposition!

 Once they pick a target, like Sarah Palin, they don’t just want to beat her in the competition at the polls. Oh no, they want to completely and totally destroy her! They don’t just want to enjoy the fact she was beaten as the VP candidate.

No, no!

The democrats want to totally destroy her career. They currently have paid operatives in Alaska that find some new “outrage” every single day!

They also want to destroy her family. I mean who knows, one of them might get into politics some day. That Piper sure has potential!

The mafia, as well as conquering hordes used to do the same thing. They would kill the family of the target, so they couldn’t rise up against them someday and seek a reckoning.

Now, here’s the deal. Governor Palin isn’t the only Republican targeted for destruction.

All of you are!

Let’s look at our last presidential candidate, the RINO’s RINO, John McCain. The “Maverick”. McCain was the darling of the media. Oh man! According to every democrat, he was the only “reasonable” Republican on earth!

By God, if only the Republican party would run John McCain! They all pledged their vote and support.

Until, of course, he ran!

The NY Times, which had endorsed McCain in the primary, showed their support by running a made up story of an affair he supposedly had. And that was they nicest thing the left did to him!

Life long friends in Congress, democrat friends, turned on him. Now he was a “right wing fanatic” and a “racist” ( A catch-all term liberals throw out there when they can’t think of something clever to call a Republican.)

Of course, we should have learned that lesson almost a decade earlier. When George W Bush was Governor of Texas, he was well known for being able to work with democrats. There was a decent relationship between them. So, when he ran as a “uniter, not a divider” he had a long track record of being just that.

President Bush laid out the welcome mat at the White House. Most famously inviting Teddy Kennedy over to movie night, and allowing him to basically write the education bill.

So, how was he repaid?

Why, like all democrats repay such kindness: Bush was compared to Hitler, the devil, and Charles Manson, an a daily basis!

The question is, do you want this kind of thing to keep happening, or are you ready to stand up and start defending yourselves?

It is a time for choosing.                                    

“Rules For Radicals” the democrat party’s Sun Tzu. Learn it, live it, love it!

Saul Alinsky was born in Chicago to Russian-Jewish parents. He was a lifelong communist, dedicated to overthrowing our government, and installing a communistic form instead. Alinsky is also known as the “father of community organizing”. Hmm, let’s see, Chicago, community organizing, communism. Now just where have we heard of this kind of guy before?

Alinsky wrote many books, and was a professor. Many, if not most of the democrat elite worshiped the guy. Some, like Hillary Clinton, also from Chicago, actually studied under him. But whether they were able to attend his lectures, or just read his many books, you can bet every single democrat in politics knows his work, and is on board with his teachings. Including Obama, whose mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, also of Chicago, brought the words of Alinsky with him to Hawaii.

The most revered book among democrats is Alinsky’s “Rules For Radicals”. This is their bible, their playbook, their “Sun Tzu The Art of War”. They utilize principles Alinsky taught on a daily basis. They use them to great effect against Republicans, and especially the ones who are popular, like Sarah Palin. In fact, she has been getting the full monty from these denizens of hate.

If the Republicans ever want to become a national party again, they need to pick themselves up a copy of “Rules” and read it intently. Again, this is the left’s blueprint. They base everything they do, politically, on the teachings from Alinsky’s book.

The only way to defeat the enemy is to learn their tactics, learn them well, and then use them against them. Until the Republican party gets as good at understanding Alinsky’s works, and is able to not only counteract their efforts but actually use the “Rules” against the democrats, they will be fighting a losing battle.

Now Alinsky’s books are many, and his writings voluminous, but here are the basic “Rules”. They are pretty self explanatory:

Rule 1: Power is not only what you have, but what an opponent thinks you have. If your organization is small, hide your numbers in the dark and raise a din that will make everyone think you have many more people than you do.

Rule 2: Never go outside the experience of your people.
The result is confusion, fear, and retreat.

Rule 3: Whenever possible, go outside the experience of an opponent. Here you want to cause confusion, fear, and retreat.

Rule 4: Make opponents live up to their own book of rules. “You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.”

Rule 5: Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.

Rule 6: A good tactic is one your people enjoy. “If your people aren’t having a ball doing it, there is something very wrong with the tactic.”

Rule 7: A tactic that drags on for too long becomes a drag. Commitment may become ritualistic as people turn to other issues.

Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this that will cause the opposition to react to your advantage.”

Rule 9: The threat is more terrifying than the thing itself.

(When Alinsky leaked word that large numbers of poor people were going to tie up the washrooms of O’Hare Airport, Chicago city authorities quickly agreed to act on a longstanding commitment to a ghetto organization. They imagined the mayhem as thousands of passengers poured off airplanes to discover every washroom occupied. Then they imagined the international embarrassment and the damage to the city’s reputation.)

Rule 10: The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. Avoid being trapped by an opponent or an interviewer who says, “Okay, what would you do?”

Rule 11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Don’t try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame.

According to Alinsky, the main job of the community organizer is to bait an opponent into reacting. “The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.”

Obviously, the democrats use Rule 11 quite often. Think Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, or any other effective conservative.  And remember, everyone in the media has read, and uses Alinsky’s “Rules:” on a daily basis too!

So again, you have a choice, do you want to remain insignificant, or, as a party, do Republicans want to learn how to fight fire with fire?

This is a time for choosing.

Stop buying into dumb democrat ideas! Or worse, trying to put a “Republican spin” on them!    

One of the absolutely stupidest things Republicans do on a daily basis is buy into democrat lunacy!

Let’s take the so-called “global warming” scam for instance. Now let me say right here, if you think global warming, or “climate change” is real and a problem, you need to go away right now!

It’s time for you to retire and write that book you’ve always talked about!

At the very least you should be made to spend a week with Senator Jim Inhofe while he tries to educate you on the basics of actual science.

Global warming is a scam. One doesn’t have to look far to see the socialist/communist reasoning behind it.

 But past that, think about one of the big boogy-men of these people: Carbon dioxide. Now anyone who actually went to school before the democrats got complete control of it, learned in the earliest grades that as humans, we breath in oxygen, and exhale carbon dioxide. As does every living mammal.

Of course, if one is closed up in a tight room, without much oxygen, eventually the carbon dioxide will displace the oxygen, and you will die. But thankfully, when God designed this deal, this planet we call earth, he created plant life.

You see plants do just the opposite. They “breath in” carbon dioxide, and “exhale” oxygen. They are indeed, nature’s Co2 scrubbers!

Now this horrible Co2, the bad thing that will destroy all life as we know it? Most of it occurs naturally, and has nothing to do with industrialization. And by most, I mean over 80 percent.

But more importantly, all of our ecosystem needs Co2 to survive.

But the left will have you believe that carbon dioxide is the worst element ever discovered!

Again, only a fool would believe this, or in the global warming myth. And if you look at the actual “carbon footprint” of hypocrites like Al Gore, Nancy Pelosi, and most of Hollywood, you’ll see they don’t believe what they are selling either.

It’s junk science at it’s very worse.

And yet, a while back, I look up, and here’s our man, Newt, sitting on a bench with Nancy Pelosi in a commercial about global warming! Now, of course, conservatives lost their minds over this!

What was Newt’s answer? “Well, we can’t just sit on the sidelines” “We must find a ‘better’ way of tacking the problem”

Uh, no Newt, we don’t!

Trying to deal with stupidity in a better way, is still stupidity!

When the left comes up with something as insane as global warming, Republicans need to stop rushing in to try to put their fingerprint on a solution. (To a nonexistent problem!) The correct answer when someone like Al Gore trots out something as idiotic as global warming, is to call him on it!

After years of running around, spreading hysteria over a hoax, a hoax he stands to make a fortune on, by the way, Al Gore has yet to actually engage in debate! There are standing offers to debate this windbag, including seven figure incentives that would be donated to charity.

But Gore indignantly pouts that the science is settled, and there is nothing to talk about. And the best part? Not a single Republican has really, seriously called this charlatan out on this. Not a single one.

This global warming nonsense has so many holes in it that it looks like Swiss cheese! And yet, Republicans are right there along with the democrats, trying to “figure it out”! There’s nothing to figure out. It’s a HOAX!

Global warming is only the most ridiculous thing to come down the pike lately. There are numerous things that democrats come up with daily that are complete and total lunacy. But leave it to Republicans to jump in and try to fix it in the “Republican way”.

Until Republicans learn how to stand back, and recognize stupidity, and then call the democrats out on it, they will be a minority party.

Republicans have to learn that it’s OK to just say NO!

Now, that doesn’t mean you sit on the sidelines and just let the democrats run with it. Nothing scarier than a democrat with a stupid idea. If left unchecked, it’ll become law!

Nope, what Republicans must learn how to do, is see something idiotic, like global warming, and call it for what it is. In fact, something as silly as global warming would be the perfect time to use what you learned from community organizer Saul Alinsky! Rules number 5 and 11 come to mind here!

Now, before you write this part of my commentary off, please understand that democrats do this to you on a daily basis. There are a lot of serious issues that Republicans want to engage the nation in, and democrats routinely just flatly refuse to engage. Instead, offering nothing but ridicule.

 Terrorism and energy independence are a couple that just get poo-poo’ed by the democrats as “silly” as they move on about their daily business.

Until Republicans learn how to not take the bait on every silly thing the democrats come up with, they will be a minority party.

Stop being the party of “me too”!

In October of 1964 Ronald Reagan addressed the Republican National Convention and a television audience. At the time America was headed into liberalism in a big way.. Democrats were looking to grow the government in ways our founders never dreamed of. The "Great Society" was upon us.

Reagan, a newly minted Republican, remarked that he didn’t leave the democrat party, the party left him.

Reagan spoke of American exceptionalism and determination. He spoke of conservatism. He also spoke of the evils of liberalism, and communism.

Reagan’s speech, entitled "A Time For Choosing" is one of his best works. It is considered as the real awakening of the conservative movement. It is so iconic, it has come to be know as simply, "The Speech". And if you have never seen it, you cannot call yourself a conservative.

Ronald Reagan gave this most inspiring of speeches, in support of Presidential candidate Barry Goldwater. While conservatives were moved with Reagan’s common sense, wisdom, and patriotism, it fell on the deaf ears of the party elite: The blue blood, country club Republicans. Those today we conservatives call  RINOs (Republicans In Name Only)

It would be 16 years more of moving towards socialism, and really poor government. This culminated in the total disaster known as the Jimmy Carter presidency, a complete and total mess that we are still feeling the ramifications of to this day! Think Community Reinvestment Act, and Radical Islam.

So, how did Ronald Reagan finally become President? Well, he basically followed the principles he set forth in his 1964 speech! President Reagan won two record landslide elections, including a 49 state win in 1984 by stressing solid conservatism to every single American, no mater the sex, race, or religious creed.

What Reagan knew then, just as we know now, is that conservatism is universal. It doesn’t belong to any party. Conservatism is a concept of freedom, and accomplishment. That all men should be free of tyranny, from oppression. All men should have an equal chance in life. Reagan knew that conservatism stresses the fact that we get all of our rights from our God, not from the government of man. Reagan knew that the Constitution was a covenant between the government and it’s citizens, that limited the power of government, not it’s citizens.

Reagan knew that government wasn’t the answer, but indeed was the problem. In that regard, things have only gotten worse since Reagan’s days in office.

But you know what else about Reagan and his historic wins?

Reagan never pandered. He didn’t sit around and think up ways to appeal to this group or that group. He didn’t worry about having one message for one crowd or another. He had but one message: The message of conservatism, true conservatism.

Again, conservatism is universal. The concept of conservatism works for every single group of people. White, black, Hispanic, etc. Straight, gay, male, female, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, it doesn’t matter. Conservatism works for every single human being.

Now, let’s fast forward a bit. Even though Ronald Reagan was the most successful President in our lifetimes, the Republicans didn’t learn their real lesson. We ended up with a moderate Republican President. Not a bad man. In fact a very good man. But a moderate none the less.

That of course led us to Bill Clinton. Clinton was a disaster from the get go, including his weak answer to bombing of the World Trade Center. In fact, his poor performance led to the second conservative revolution in 1994, spearheaded by Newt Gingrich, Tom Delay, and others.

Using solid conservative principals, the Republicans were able to balance the budget, pass welfare reform, and other common sense legislation. In fact, they did so well, that the common man on the street credited Clinton, and gave him a second term!

But why did that happen? Well, easy. You see, the Republican party still hadn’t learned it’s lesson. (This is, a recurring theme, huh?) The party put up one of our greatest Americans, for sure. A bonafide World War II hero, a man of great integrity, a true statesman: Bob Dole. The only problem, is Senator Dole is a true moderate. (You know how the word liberal has become a pejorative? Well, as far as I am concerned, so has moderate!) We never had a chance.

Senator Dole never forcefully took credit for all of the great things Clinton was said to have done, that were actually accomplished by conservative Republicans.

Now, thankfully, we then saw George Bush, another fine man. A decent man. But not really a conservative. But, we knew that going in. George Bush was tested under the fire of war, and performed brilliantly, keeping America safe. Something no one though was possible right after 9/11.

The Republicans had control of Congress, as well. But, it wasn’t the same Republicans. Maybe they had been in Washington too long. Or maybe real conservatives left. Whatever the reason, the RINOs came to power, and conservatism, real conservatism was in exile again.

Now for sure, President Bush did a whole lot more right than wrong. But being a moderate, he let a lot of things happen on his watch. Most notable, even though there are at least 34 documented calls to put Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, both arms of the democrat party, in check, being a moderate, the President didn’t go to real battle with these people. And in the end, never named the names of the real culprits of the current financial crisis, instead accepting blame for the entire Republican party instead of naming all the democrats who actually caused this mess!  

Which leads us to the 2008 election. Through silly Republican primary rules, and just plain insanity, the GOP showed that 44 years after Reagan’s blueprint for sure victory was written, they still didn’t have a clue. As such, we got the RINO’s RINO, John McCain! Now, John McCain is a war hero, a true American. But he is not a conservative, or even a moderate. He’s "democrat lite". A Liberal. A complete disaster.

But, just like in 1964....in September of 2008, another strong conservative walked to the podium to sing the praises of the Presidential candidate. This time in the guise of the Vice Presidential candidate. That strong conservative was Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska. Her speech, like Reagan’s before her, was inspirational. Like Reagan, Governor Palin spoke from her heart. She spoke of the greatness of America. As she spoke, you could see the shining city on a hill that Reagan often spoke of.

Governor Palin spoke of American exceptionalism. The greatness of the common man. She spoke of the solid conservative principals of freedom, and self determination. She spoke of security and self reliance, not only for Americans but for America itself.

Governor Palin was a hit, as we know. Her message resonated with Americans. A once dead campaign came back to life. Donations and volunteers poured in at a record pace. Between Palin’s common sense conservatism, and the fact that of the four people on both tickets, she was the only one with chief executive experience, and lots of it, for the first time, Republicans saw a win happening.

We saw Ronald Reagan when we saw Sarah Palin. In fact, even Michael Reagan himself said so. No stronger endorsement than that.

But sadly, the RINOs were in control of the campaign, and totally misused her talents. It was incredibly disheartening for those of us who had followed the Governor before she became a nationally know figure.

Worse yet, the democrats along with their media cohorts launched an unrelenting campaign of hate, lies, and dirty tricks against the Governor, which is in high gear to this day.

In the end, the moderates had it their way. The entire "democrat lite" wing of the Republican party prevailed, as did Barack Obama, the democrat candidate.

Now, this should have never happened. Barack Obama is to the left of Joseph Stalin. This is a man who was raised by communist parents, and grand parents. Mentored by communists like Frank Marshal Davis, terrorist Bill Ayers, and racist America hating Jeremiah Wright, among others.

No way in the world should this guy gotten past McCain/Palin. But, instead of listening to the cry of conservatives everywhere, our man John McCain actually defended Obama at every turn. Apologizing when Governor Palin turned on the heat, and even worse, refusing to defend her while she, herself, was being attacked with lies, hate, and dirty tricks. Another reoccurring theme for today’s Republican party of moderates.

So, again getting whipped badly taught the Republican elite nothing. If anything, the RINOs, the country club blue blooders are trying to move even closer to the democrats and further to the left! The true definition of insanity.

Sarah Palin touched Americans like no one has since Ronald Reagan. But, the Republican party is no longer the party of Reagan. It’s the democrat party watered down. So, the elites in our party not only didn’t listen to Governor Palin, they joined in the attacks, unable to face up to their own inadequacies! Including John McCain, who to this day, never misses a chance to disrespect the Governor, all the while sucking up to his buddies in the media.

So, the die was cast.

That takes us to 2009, and CPAC. This time it was Rush Limbaugh who gave the patriotic speech. This too was iconic. No one was surprised that Fox News carried his keynote speech live, but so did CNN. This was a big deal, and rivaled both Reagan, and Palin in it’s enormity of purpose.

Like Reagan, and Palin, Limbaugh spoke of American exceptionalism. Of America and her people’s greatness. Limbaugh spoke of solid conservative values, and how those values are what made America great. He spoke of how conservatism lifts people up, and how communism oppresses people. How, as conservatives, we want to build people up to their highest potential, and how communism punishes great achievement in the name of "economic justice".

Something else Limbaugh did. Just like Ronald Reagan forcefully attacked President Lyndon Johnson, and the democrats and Sarah Palin forcefully attacked candidate Barack Obama and the democrat/communist party, he attacked President Barack Obama and the party of radicals.

And just like Reagan, and Palin, Limbaugh did it with skill, humor, and good cheer. He was angry, as we all are, but when you are on the right path, you can speak with great ease.

Something else. Just like with Ronald Reagan, and Sarah Palin, conservatives cried tears of joy as they heard Limbaugh speak! These are the words we want to hear. The crowd at CPAC was screaming and people who were watching this live in their homes were as well. These are the kind of Republicans we want! We are tired of the country club RINO. The milquetoast moderates who are stumbling all over themselves to out democrat the democrats!

It's this moderate democrat lite type of Republican that has kept the party in the minority position for most of its existence. Only when true Ronald Reagan conservatism is practiced does the Republican party prevail. And as such, the American people!

Of course, true to form, all of the RINOs chose not to get behind Limbaugh. Oh no! Just like the blue bloods did back in 1964, and really until 1980 when they attacked Reagan unmercifully, and like today’s RINOs attacked, and still attack Sarah Palin, these people attacked Rush Limbaugh with as much vigor as the democrats!

If only the RINO wing would attack democrats with such vigor!

So once again, we are at a time for choosing. As a party, do the Republican leaders want to continue to be a minority party forever, or do you want to weed out the democrat lite RINOs, and become the powerful, unstoppable party of Reagan once more?

In the coming days I will be addressing individual ideas that are on every American’s mind. Ideas that are universal in their nature, and profound in their effect. And again, it will be a time for choosing!

Time to chose to listen to what Americans, all Americans, want, or again turn a blind eye, and a deaf ear to it all, and remain an insignificant party.

There is much urgency to this decision too. This isn’t just about winning elections anymore. We are in a fight to save this nation. Barack Obama, and the democrat/communist party plan to take this nation places it was never intended to go. They are destroying everything Americans hold dear to their hearts

So, as you see, your decision is urgently needed, and you had better make the right one.

Long before Americans learned about the sorted tails of, now impeached, Governor Rod Blagojevich, and his attempt to sell the Senate seat vacated by now President Barack Obama, there was a much more nefarious plot taking place in our northern most state.

Anyone who was not on another planet during the past election cycle heard the words “troopergate” blasting from their television, or saw the words staring ominously at them from their newspapers. But how many know what the real story was, or how it grew so big?

Well, in the interest of brevity, the simple answer was, Governor Palin fired Walt Monegan, the Public Safety Commissioner of Alaska. Actually fired is not quite correct. She was displeased with his continual insubordination, especially on budget issues, and his penchant to continually try and do end runs around her office.  So, she offered him job reassignment. When he refused, she took action.

Now there is a back story to this, as there always is. At the same time this was going on, Governor Palin’s sister, was having trouble with her ex-husband, State Trooper Michael Wooten.  This is a troubled fellow, who had a history of violence with his ex-wife, having threatened to kill her, and the Governor’s father, and the Governor herself. He also tazered his son once, and had been caught driving his patrol car drunk. This fellow is not trooper of the month material.

Now, before we go any further in the story, and get to the good parts, let me make sure everyone knows one thing. Trooper Wooten is still Trooper Wooten. He is still on the job!

Now with that said, in Alaska, there are some politicians that never let a good crisis or story angle go to waste. So, after Mr Monegan was fired, the story was cooked up, that Governor Palin fired him because he wouldn’t show Trooper Wooten the door. The same Trooper Wooten who is still employed.

Pretty soon these democrats set the wheels in motion for the Grand Inquisition. A nice show trial for the Alaskan people. All was well with the world.

Then a funny thing happened on the way to the forum. Senator John McCain, who just happened to be running for President, took a lot of grass roots American’s advice, and chose Governor Sarah Palin to be his Vice Presidential running mate. That set the wheels in motion for some serious hijinx.

At this time, let me introduce you to a key player in this story, and the recipient of the pay, for the play, Alaska State Senator, Kim Elton. Elton, along with Senator Hollis French, Stephen Branchflower and Beth Kerttula were the democrats in charge of the show trial.

Some background on Kim Elton, and his ties to the Obama campaign.

Elton is a long-time friend of Pete Rouse, who was Senator Obama’s chief of staff and campaign advisor. (Rouse currently serves in the White House as a Senior Advisor.) Rouse and Elton worked together in Juneau in the late 1970s on the staff of Alaska Republican Lt. Gov. Terry Miller.

According to CNN reports, after Governor Palin was selected for the GOP ticket, the Obama campaign contacted the PSEA Union that represented Trooper Wooten and filed a phony complaint against her.

Although the hearings were set for sometime in 2009, Townhall’s Amanda Carpenter reported in September of 2008 : French, Elton, and Branchflower were hard at work, looking to make this an “October surprise”. Even though the investigation was ongoing, French was already describing it as “damaging,”

Even though this report was far from done, French was calling it a “game changer”. Something that would “perhaps even cause Palin's impeachment as Governor-- a game-changing outcome that would certainly increase the Democrats chances of winning the White House in November.”

The partisanship was so strong by the democrats that  Alaska’s Speaker of the House, John Harris requested a special meeting with the Legislative Council, but his request was refused. The witch hunt was on.

At that point five Alaska Legislators, Rep. Wes Keller, Rep. Mike Kelly, Rep. Bob Lynn, Sen. Fred Dyson, and Sen. Tom Wagoner, filed suit in state superior court in Anchorage against French, Elton, Branchflower and the Alaska Legislative Council in order to halt the investigation of Governor Sarah Palin and others because the investigators had lost all appearance of impartiality required under the Alaska Constitution.

Elton, in a local radio interview, went so far as to describe Governor Palin as “criminal”.

According to the Center for Responsive Politics, Senator Elton donated $2250 to the Obama campaign, but failed to disclose this to the Legislative Council and he continued to preside over the Council with respect to the investigation, refusing to convene meetings of the Council at the request of a majority of the Council’s membership.

It was obvious that Senator Elton was vested in the outcome of the Presidential race and played smear politics with Governor Palin’s reputation in order to help sway the election.

Senator Elton continued to work as hard as possible to destroy Governor Palin, and help his good friend Barack Obama win the presidency by allowing Stephen Branchflower, their handpicked investigator, to write the report before witnesses were even interviewed, misconstrue certain evidence and disregard evidence that was helpful to Governor Palin.

Minutes after the Branchflower Report was publicly released, Elton told the Anchorage Daily News that perhaps people will know how to vote in November. The report was released October 31, 2008 four days before the 2008 Presidential election.

Now we know what the outcome of the 2008 election was. Barack Obama became the 44th President of the United States. But what became of all of this business in Alaska concerning Governor Palin?

Well after all sorts of histrionics, it turns out, that even the highly partisan, totally biased Branchflower Commission had to say that Governor Palin was well within her rights to fire Alaska Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan. As with any political appointee, the Public Safety Commissioner serves at the pleasure of the Governor. Which in practice means that Governor Palin could fire him at any time, for any reason whatsoever, or no reason at all.

Now, Branchflower included some wording that admonished the Governor, still clinging on to the smear tactics to the bitter end, but the bottom line, even the democrats had to confess, Palin had done nothing wrong.

Within days of the election, the Juneau Empire, the capitol city’s newspaper, reported that a separate report by the personnel board cleared Governor Palin of any ethics violations, stating:  "There is no probable cause to believe that the governor, or any other state official, violated the Alaska Executive Ethics Act in connection with these matters"

As if to punctuate the point further, Timothy Petumenos, an independent investigator for the Alaska Personnel Board, further said this: “Branchflower used a wrong statute as the basis for his conclusions, misconstrued the available evidence and did not consider or obtain all the material evidence to reach a proper finding.”

He went on further to state that his investigation included much more data, including additional e-mails of state personnel, including Palin.

Petumenos concluded that Palin did not seek the trooper's firing after she became Governor. He stated:  "Also absent from the evidence reviewed is any assertion that the Governor directed anyone in the Department of Public Safety to terminate Trooper Wooten, or directed anyone on her staff to seek the termination of Trooper Wooten,"

Of course, and again, the best evidence of this is the fact that Trooper Wooten, is still, Trooper Wooten!

Now even though Governor Palin was cleared of all charges, the deed was done. Her reputation, 4 days before the election of a US President, had been tarnished.

And obviously, the newly elected President of the United States, Barack Obama is very pleased with the good work that Kim Elton, Hollis French, Stephen Branchflower, and Beth Kerttula performed.

As a reward for his part, Senator Kim Elton was rewarded by the Obama administration with a plum assignment in the US Interior Department, where he will serve as Director of Alaska Affairs under Secretary Ken Salazar. Obviously, this is of concern, because in his position Elton will be able to interfere with many environmental and energy initiatives that Governor Palin, and the Alaskan people want, as many of these do not fit well with the left wing of the democrat party’s agenda.

The bottom line is this. Barack Obama has clearly paid off Kim Elton for “services rendered”

On the behalf of Mr. Obama, Mr Elton, with his cast of co-conspirators clearly succeeded in interfering with the election of a United States President.   

The only question that remains is this:

If the Illinois legislature impeached Governor Rod Blagojevich for ATTEMPTING to wrongly influence who would end up being the person to take President Barack Obama’s vacant Senate seat, what is the punishment for conspiring to destroy a sitting state Governor, and Vice Presidential candidate?

Especially since the eventual winning Presidential candidate has direct ties to the efforts to destroy the Governor, and throw the election in his favor.
                                    



 

You know, bashing our nation's CEO's has become somewhat of a sport in the 21st century. And absolutely no one has the game perfected as well as President Barack Obama, and the democrats in Congress. They have elevated the dangerous and destructive practice of class warfare to an art form. I mean they are really first rate!

And thanks to our absolutely corrupt media, they are able to sell this to the masses.

Who can forget the recent spectacle of the Big Three auto executives being grilled with such probing and important questions by our distinguished democrat members of Congress such as: "So tell me, Mr Car Guy, did you have the temerity to fly here to Washington today?"

Well, as one might imagine, these titans of industry were duly put in their place by these servants of the people, who are, of course, as pure as the driven snow. These men who oversee multi-national, multi-billion dollar corporations, where shoved to their knees and forced to grovel at the feet of our all mighty Congress.

Never mind, that upon becoming Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, herself a pillar of virtue and restraint, demanded and received, an Air Force jet to fly her to and from her California home at her every whim. I mean we just can't have this national treasure fly commercial, can we?

My point? Well, it's obvious the democrat members of Congress have never actually held jobs, and do not understand how these things work. For corporations, and high level executives, the most valuable commodity is time. That's what The CEOs and high level managers have precious little of, time. And they and must use it wisely. Even auto executives, who are, for the most part, just die hard car guys, who absolutely love driving, have drivers who shuttle them around.

Why?

Because while they are being driven, they can work!

The same goes for flying on private jets. We all know what a hassle it is to fly commercial. We also know that planes are often delayed for many hours. A CEO who runs a major corporation, and is flying for business, cannot afford to waste his valuable time sitting in an airport, or waiting on an airplane for hours to get where they need to go. They use corporate jets because they can literally leave for important business at a moments notice, get to where they need to go quickly, work the whole way there, and then get back home quickly. Flight time from Detroit to D.C. is very short. The execs could go, meet with Congress, and be back in their office all in the span of a few hours.

In other words, these executive jets save their companies money.

Of course, what was once a symbol of great success, a source of corporate pride even, is now verboten. And besides it was great fun watching the auto executives be further humiliated by our glorious Congress, when they were forced to drive to D.C.! Never mind they wasted the better part of two days of valuable time to make the nation feel better because Congress sure showed them.

Of course, this hatred for the successful has it's major drawbacks to the economy. You see, many corporations have now, in fear, either canceled existing orders, or deciding against ordering, new corporate jets. You see, they don't want to be demonized by Congress or President Obama, who is the Cheerleader-In-Chief of the class warfare crowd. So now, aircraft manufacturers will see a downturn in business, and normal hard working Americans, who have good, well paying jobs working for the airplane manufacturers, and their many suppliers, may face cut backs in pay, overtime, and even have to deal with being laid off, because of a lack of business.

Good job Mr President. Good Job Congress.

But that's not even the point of this story. No friends, I come to talk to you about another great evil facing our nation: Corporate retreats! Now these are the sort of things that will destroy the nation, for sure!

Now in all fairness to Congress, and the corrupt media, there were some companies that took "retreats" right after taking bailout money. Those folks might have been a little arrogant, and the people certainly are not on their side.

But, there are corporate "parties", and there are corporate parties.

Let's look at the good kind of corporate function. Recently, a major bank, that received bail out money, went ahead with an annual event. A major golf tournament and party for it's executives and clients. Of course, on cue, Congress, The President, and the media were in high dudgeon over this. Liberals are generally against the death penalty, but judging by the fervor of the attacks on these bankers, one became convinced they might make an exception in this case!

I am reminded at this time of the great movie Barbarians At The Gate, which was about the ins and outs of what was, at the time, the largest hostile takeover in history, as KKR bought RJR Reynolds tobacco company. In one scene in the movie, one of the mid level executives was complaining about the lavish money spent promoting their annual tennis match, the Doral Open. And in perfect Hollywood timing, one of RJR's guests walks by smiling in appreciation of the Gucci watch he had been given as a gift for coming. It was at the point that James Garner, in the role of RJR CEO F.Ross Johnson, proclaimed with much disdain to his underling: "Well, look around here and pay attention. Every penny you think we are wasting on all of this, comes right back to us, dressed up as a nickel!"

The point being, corporate events like this pay off in big ways for the companies that sponsor them. They use them to promote their companies to the general public, as a title rights sponsor. They also invite their very best customers, as a simple thank you for your valued business. This creates loyalty, and of course, many a big sale is either closed, or started at these functions. Something else that happens, is prospective clients are also brought in as guests. These are people who can potentially bring in millions of dollars for the sponsoring company. In this case, a bank.

Truly, every penny spent has the potential to walk back through the door dressed up as a nickel.

As a drag racer, I can tell you that at every NHRA national event, just like at every NASCAR race, there are many hospitality events that happen. Every major sponsored race team will have a hospitality area for their sponsors. They use them to entertain, service, and retain major sponsors. To allow the corporate people a chance to rub elbows with the stars, or bring their clients to rub elbows.

Of course, many event sponsors will also have hospitality. I can tell you, I always looked forward to the BBQ and hospitality that Mopar had for dealers, and their select guests at the NHRA race in Houston. Chrysler, which has a zone office there, always made sure we had fun. But this wasn't just about the food. I also looked forward to networking with Mopar fans, other people in my business, and even bringing a good customer or two, to reward them, and have some fun! This created loyalty among my customers.

Now, of course, in this year of our lord, Obama, these sort of things are evil, and must be stopped at all costs! That is, unless you are Congress, or Big Union. Then all is good.

Right in the middle of all of the demagoguery, Nancy Pelosi took the corporate jet to go see the Pope at the Vatican. The democrat Congress went to their own special retreat, where they could further plot against the evil earning class of Americans. But, that is OK, because they said so.

Even better, this past week, Big Union held a retreat at one of the nicest resorts in Florida. I mean we can't have the union bosses and their associates meeting in the bitter chill of the northeast, now can we. Besides, it's tough work when you are plotting to take away the American worker's fundamental right to a secret ballot to vote on whether or not they want to belong to the brotherhood of union members. Of course, those union members, the ones who were stuck freezing up north, paid for this retreat.

Now, much like the jet airplane guys, since it is now verboten for ordinary companies, who don't have the lofty stature of Congress, or Big Union, to hold retreats, or sponsor events, there is trouble. You see, resort cities like Las Vegas, or Miami, or those beautiful California spots, are hurting big time, as company after company cancels their planned events, all to make sure they aren't hauled before a kangaroo court made up of Congress members, or risk having their mugs splashed all over the media! Now these retreats, which are always used to being booked up, are in real financial trouble. Soon, the many cooks, wait staff, and other service employees will be hurt, and possibly lose their jobs. Cab drivers will have less fairs (and tips). Local restaurants will be hurt. Cities, like Las Vegas will lose a lot of revenue. Tax revenue.

Again, thank you Congress, and thank you President Obama. This is change we can.......Oh, who am I kidding here. This is sheer lunacy!

But again, I didn't come here to really talk to you about that either. That was just the warm up, to the main course.

You see, our President, our leader, Barack Obama loves to party. He is really enjoying the trappings of being President. Nothing like being able to take his fetching First Lady on date night, aboard Air Force One, to Chicago. Or, to fly cross country, to make a show of spending more money than the history of man, at one time, when he could have easily signed the most expensive, and dangerous spending bill in history right in his Rose Garden! I mean he still would have gotten on TV, right?

The major concern though, is Mr Obama's penchant for hard partying at the White House. Recently, President Obama and guests dined on $100lb Japanese Wagyu beef. It seems that weekly parties at the White House have become standard fare. Stars like Stevie Wonder, and the Jonas Brothers are noted guests. The menu features only the finest in hoity-toity food. No nachos and beer for this bunch!

Between the Greek Tragedy that Mr Obama staged at his DNC speech in Denver, complete with styrofoam columns that reminded me of a gag out of the movie This Is Spinal Tap. To Chicago party in the park on election night, to his record setting inaugural expenses, Mr Obama has expensive taste.

Now a group called Freedom Watch, www.freedomwatchusa.org , is looking into whether the taxpayers are footing the bill for all of this extravagant partying. As Reported today in World Net Daily, Freedom Watch is asking the GSA for any and all documents that will show what this constant parade of celebrities, and Hollywood style parties is costing the taxpayer.

Currently our economy is in deep trouble. Wall Street has absolutely no confidence in Mr Obama, or his ideas. Millions of hard working Americans have seen their life savings wiped out, by events that were set in motion 30 years ago and compounded by the last democrat president. But while these hard working Americans are worried about their livelihood, this inexperienced young president, who clearly has no real clue, and has picked advisors of the same caliber, is living the high life at the White House.

America, and her people deserve better than this.      

In  a response to Kathryn Jean Lopez's fine article on Mitt Romney, I feel I must add this.

There is no way anyone can talk leadership and true conservatism without discussing Governor Sarah Palin.

Governor Palin is head over heals more qualified than anyone currently being mentioned for leadership, or as a POTUS candidate.

She has a proven track record in Alaska as a conservative. Her state is not broke and begging for handouts. She may or may not take any "stimulus money". But if she does, it will be the job creating kind, not the pork kind. And she absolutely won't take any that would start a program that the state would then have to fund on it's on.

Governor Palin has a strong record on energy, having chaired the largest regulatory board of it's kind. She currently chairs an interstate compact of energy producing states, and chairs the National Governors Association's Natural Resources Committee.

Energy independence will be key to the survival of the United States, and Governor Palin is working on energy issues daily.

The Governor also has something that in most politicians is AWOL, common sense! She absolutely understands what middle class people go through, because she herself is middle class!

Other politicians can grunt and groan, and boast about being "for the people" but few can boast of being "of the people"!

This is someone who sold the state's jet. And in Alaska, traveling by plane isn't a luxury. Many places, including the capitol are basically accessible by air or water. And in the winter, water is a no go! She flies commercial. (also owns her own small plane)

She reassigned the executive chef, to save her office money, and so her kids wouldn't get used to being pampered. She drives herself to work, in her own car. What Governor Does THAT?  

In fact, this year she turned down a $25,000 raise. What POLITICIAN does THAT?

And remember these people aren't rich. Her husband still works an oil field job, and commercial fishes.

Currently, the Obama administration is shaping up to be the most corrupt and inept in the history of our nation.

The people will demand better in 2012. Governor Palin is one of the most honest and transparent in history.

Every state expenditure over a certain dollar amount is posted online. Her citizens have unprecedented access to information about her government.   

This is what the people of America want.

And bear this in mind about Sarah Palin. She has been under more media scrutiny than any human being in recent memory, and can still hold her head high. The left keeps attacking her, but nothing sticks, because nothing is true. She is actually what she advertises to be. A competent chief executive.

The more she is attacked, the more people check her out for themselves. The more people who check her out, the more people find out the truth about her. The more people who find out the truth, the more converts!

Her favorable ratings and support are higher now, than ever. Her support is stronger than ever, and she is expected to be reelected Governor by 2:1.  

In other words, she has been vetted, and passed. Not much else to dig into. (unless you start channeling the spirits of the moose she has shot!)

I like Mitt Romney, and think he would make an EXCELLENT Treasury Secretary in a Palin administration. But he is not POTUS material.
